Healthy Recipes: Tritordeum cake with lemon and poppy seeds

This cake could be inspired by any recipe of grandmother’s cake. Our version, as well as being simple, includes two ingredients that match very well: lemon and poppy seeds. The lemon is a citrus that gives a very refreshing touch to our meals and in pastry fits great. Poppy seeds are a good source of protein, minerals and dietary fiber.

For 6 people

180 g of Tritordeum flour
3 eggs
100 g of butter
40g of sugar
1 small bag of yeast
Juice of 3 lemons
Poppy seeds (to taste)

Mix the sugar and eggs in a bowl.

Add the flour, the yeast and the melted butter.

Mix until getting homogeneous dough.

Add the lemon juice and poppy seeds and mix well.

Pour everything in a mold greased with oil.

Bake for 30-40 min at 180 °.

Enjoy it during snack or breakfast time.
